DAY 2
In day 2 of Tuanku Ja'afar Cup Under 19 played at Singapore, both the matches scheduled for the day end up in a draw as rain came into play before they could achieve a minimum stipulated overs for a result.
The match was between Hong Kong vs Thailand and Malaysia vs Singapore. All the four teams shared equal points.
DAY 1
Malaysia win over Hongkong by the virtue of D/L method 3 runs in a rain interupted Day 1 match during Tuanku Ja'afar Cup (under 19) played Indian Association ground Singapore.
The match was reduced to 35 overs aside and the proceedings only started at 12:20pm. Malaysian skipper won the toss and decided to bat first in a gloomy conditions proved wrong initially as they were 18 at the loss of 4 wickets at the end of 5.5 overs. The situation was futher tumbled at the loss of Darvin when the score was 37.
Malaysia slowly built up the innings with Arriffin Ramly 42 (79 b, 3 x 4's, 1x6) and Manrick Singh 23 (50 b 1x4, 1x6), who took the total to 99. Malaysia managed 118 in the stipulated 35 overs.
Defending a mere total of 118 Malaysia managed to take enough wickets to reduce Hongkongs resources available before the rain invaded further play possible. Shanmugam bowled a pretty tight line and lenght though he was unlucky not to get a victim. Manrick Singh and Eszrafiq took 2 wickets apiece. For Hong Kong opener James Atkinson scored a laborious 26 and skipper Courtney Kruger was unbeaten on 33 at stumps.
Hong Kong were short by 3 runs by D/L method.
In another Match played at Kallang between Singapore and Thailand. Singapore won by 20 runs by the Duckworth Lewis method.

Singapore 137 all out in 40.4 overs ( Low Chong Wei-28, James K Muruthi-23, Chen Ruyang Max - 20, Nishad Rego - 3/14)
Thailand 92 for the loss of 7 wickets in 38.2 overs(James P Hottinger-43, Mayank Dalakoti - 3/10)
Singapore won by 20 runs D/L method.
