Saturday 9th April 2005 awakened with bright sunshine and hope for the finalists Malaysia and Hongkong in the  Tuanku Ja'afar U19 at Kallang ground, Singapore. The match commenced as schedule with full quota of 50 overs.

Malaysia won the toss and decided to bat. Malaysia started slowly but cautiously to set a challenging total for Hong Kong. Nadeem and Shakeel kept the Malaysian openers quite until they stuck the vital wicket of inform Joshua Mahadevan caught leg before wicket to shakeel. Eszrafiq didnt survive longer but succumb to Shakeel was neatly bowled. Then came the best part of Malaysian Innings consistent Arrifin Ramly (17) and Skipper Suhan Kumar took the Malaysian total to 99 in the 34th over. Their partnership lasted for 56 runs. Arriffin depart as Nadeem Ahmed clean bowled him. Skipper Suhan kept the anchor in one side though the Malaysian side was losing wickets at regular intervals. Mohd Faiz(13) did gave good company to the skipper and was involved for a 37 run partnership on the 7th wicket. Eventually Malaysia played the whole 50 overs with Young Suhan Kumar carrying the bat with a solid 94 (3x4's, 1x6, 144 balls, 194 minute) and managed to give a target of  182 for Hong Kong. Shakeel took 2/26, Nadeem who bowled pretty tight was contented with 1/15, R Bacon tood 4/37 for Hong Kong.

Hong Kong started off well and did managed well the Malaysian fast bowlers. The Hong Kong openers put up 31 for the first wicket. Skipper Suhan Kumar had other plans quickly brought off spinner Eszrafiq into the attack and got the answer immediatly as Eszrafiq removed James Atkinson, who was caught at slips by the skipper.

Darvin started his spell from the other side. With the spin duo and right combination of offspin and legspin, Hong Kong were all out for 88 in 33.2 overs. Hong Kong skipper Courtney Krugner was dismissed by Joshua Mahadevan. Eszrafiq ended up with superb bowling figures 9.5 overs 5 maidens took 6 wickets conceding just 8 run. Darvin 2/32, and Joshua 1/10 were the other contributers. Hong Kong opener Robert Bacon was shaping well for a big inning but unfortunately was run out for 21. The only other double figures were Irfan 14 and Nadeem 10.

Malaysia won the match by 93 runs.

Suhan Kumar was adjudged as Man of the Match.

In the last match  in the group against  Tailand Malaysia won by 63 Runs .
